The agreement for using PruneSEO: what the service does, what it does not promise, what you agree not to do with it, and what happens if something goes wrong on either side.
Using PruneSEO means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service. If you are accepting on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are allowed to bind it.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the product or by email before they take effect, and continuing to use the service after that means accepting the revised version. We will not apply a change retroactively to a plan you already paid for.
PruneSEO crawls websites you connect, groups the URLs it finds into patterns, checks a sample of each pattern against Google Search Console, reports what it finds, and generates files describing changes you could make. That is the service.
It is an analysis and reporting tool. It does not make changes to your website, and it does not act on your behalf.
Plans are described on the pricing page, and those descriptions are part of this agreement. In summary: the free plan covers one site and one crawl; paid plans add sites, crawls and automated remedies.
Two limits are worth stating here rather than only on the pricing page, because they are the ones people are surprised by:
Plans are currently assigned by us directly rather than purchased through a payment processor. We will tell you before any change to that, and we will not take payment for a plan you have not agreed to.
This is the part worth reading carefully, and it is deliberately blunt.
You agree not to use the service to:
We may suspend an account that is being used to break these terms, to attack the service, or to infringe someone’s rights. Where a false positive is suspected, we will say so and we will work to resolve it — suspending first and asking later is the default only when continuing would mean leaving an active harm in place.
You keep all rights to the websites you connect and the data you put into the service. We claim no ownership of them.
You give us the limited permission needed to operate the service for you: to crawl the sites you connect, to store and process their data, and to generate reports and artifacts from it. That permission ends when you delete the site or the account.
We do not use your data for anything else — in particular not to train models, and not to build aggregate products that identify your clients.
We work to keep the service running and will tell you about planned work in advance. We do not offer a guaranteed uptime percentage, and we would rather not print a number we cannot substantiate.
We may add, change or retire features. Where a change removes something you are paying for, we will tell you before it happens and will not bill you for a capability that has been withdrawn.
Except where the law says otherwise, the service is provided as-is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant that its conclusions are correct — they are automated assessments of the evidence available at the time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Neither of these limitations is intended to exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend access for a breach of these terms, as described above, or if the service is discontinued.
If we discontinue the service we will give reasonable notice and export window so you can retrieve your data, rather than simply switching it off.
